Libby Smart
Since 1993 Libby has had a successful decorative painting business, Paint Smart. In June of 2000 she began to study oil painting under local artist Andy Braitman. Through her study she discovered her real passion and determined this is where she wanted to focus her talent.She describes herself as a colorist seeing beyond what most people see. She builds her paintings using one color against another to infuse excitement, then finishes with carefully selected brush marks to lead the viewer to the focal point and around the painting.
Libby has taken workshops with several renowned artists including Andy Braitman, Camille Prezwodek, Kate Worm, Cedric and Joanette Egeli, Connie Winters and Jove Wang.
